We are excited to introduce to you Leo, our model for our Carolina crop top. Leo is amazing. Let us tell you a little bit about him. Here at TIMOI we create colorful fashion especially for those who love colorful fashion.
Leo is an LGBTQ+ artist from Germany, who at the very early age of 13 fell in love with colorful fashion and alternative fashion in general. Since 2016, Leo has been expressing his creativity through fashion. "I don't see myself stopping anytime soon", says Leo. Colorful fashion has become Leo's passion and he hopes to create jewelry, customize clothes and put outfits together all day in the near future. He already does that, however, Leo wants to do that for a living and we wish him the best. We know he can totally do whatever he sets his mind to and we look forward to see his growth. Leo is only 18 years old and has a whole future ahead of him.
Leo's goal is to inspire and encourage people to be their most authentic selves no matter what society says. "I've always been ridiculed for the way I dress, mainly for presenting "feminine" as a guy", says Leo. Thankfully that no longer affects him as he now realizes that as long as you're happy with yourself and not hurting anyone, no one opinions matter but your own. "It's your life after all. You deserve to be happy and if that means dressing a little weird, then by all means go for it, you'll look fire!!!" Says Leo and we totally agree one hundred percent!
Keep up with Leo and his amazing sense of fashion on INSTAGRAM!

It is so exciting for us to be recognized. Read our press release for our new upcoming collection on YAHOO NEWS.
Los Angeles, California--(Newsfile Corp. - June 15, 2022) - California-based iconic kawaii and infamous brand TIMOI is delighted to announce the release of their special collection of paintings and products which come with the innovative and unique combination of kawaii and the retro 80s. This latest collection is promised to hit the markets as soon as the end of this June.
Kawaii, the Japanese term for cute, signifies innocence, enthusiasm, prettiness, friendliness, and naturalness; just like babies and little fluffy creatures. One of the pioneers of this Japanese cute cartoon character culture in the US, artist Susana De Leon (Timoi), the founder of the brand TIMOI, was the first to come up with the unique human like big bright-eyed cartoon characters that are so often emulated by other artists and by the American media today.

Timoi, is a store for everything artistic, from handbags, Tshirts, Art Prints, Home décor to smaller items like stickers and jewelry in one place.
Timoi (Trapped in my own imagination) is the art title of an artist. Timoi is the creative director of this brand, and the ideas just keep coming fresh for every product. They are non-binary artists who create products for every person alike. This store celebrates people, sustainability, and the art that is cute and pretty.
]]>Timoi, artistic products and gift shop by a non-binary artist, unifies all with their kawaii art products.
Susana De Leon’s artistic talents have been recognized far and wide. The eccentric elements, their imaginative depictions and the fragments of reality in each piece, further goes on to prove how innovative they are. Timoi began painting characters all over Los Angeles, and in 2003 they had a literal dream with a cute big bright-eyed character that basically told them their story and that Timoi had to paint them and grow with it. So Timoi created and named the character Calo. Calo is one of Timoi’s first graffiti names.
Timoi had bigger and bigger ideas for their art and wanted to create a brand that would inspire humanity. So, Maritza and Alfonso decided to invest in the brand and officially established the brand in January 2021 with an LLC and trademark. Timoi is the Creative Director of the brand, Maritza is the CFO, and Alfonso – the CEO. Timoi is an admired female graffiti artist and many young artists really look up to them. They are also a huge mental health advocate and has conducted mental health workshops in the metaverse/NFT space for Cool Kidz NFTs. Being a non-binary person who uses all pronouns She/He/They, Timoi’s dream is to grow as big or bigger than Hello Kitty and inspire humanity while at it. Dreams do come true.

It was such a beautiful experience to do this workshops with the kids. I really enjoyed that families where enjoying the workshop. Take a look at the series of photos with kids holding their finished product. They are so adorable. It is a large set of pictures but I could not help myself. It was hard to capture everyone but here is a glimpse as to how my day went.
The 2022 OC Día del Niño is presented by Arts OC in association with Media Arts Santa Ana (MASA) and the OC Fair & Event Center's Imaginology, Hunt Library, Fullerton, and is made possible with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council, Wells Fargo Bank, Pacific Life Foundation and PBS SoCal.

Timoi, is founded by non-binary people, where art creates a beautiful bond with each person.
The store behind the creation of Timoi is one that inspires people to lead their lives without any worries in the world. Artist Susana De Leon started creating mind-boggling art at the age of 15. They were very fond of graffiti art and when they turned 19 in 1999, they created a piece called, “Trapped In My Own Imagination”. Something about this creation struck them, and they started signing every art piece as “Timoi”, hence it came into being.

I wanted to take this opportunity to talk to you about our products. For a long time I held myself back from starting a brand because of the waste the fashion industry creates on this earth. I didn't want to be just another brand adding to the contamination and destruction of our home planet earth. With that in mind, we are very pleased to announce we have found manufacturers willing to work with us and only create products as people order them. Not only that but they also mail out our products directly to the costumer and by doing so cutting our footprint. Unfortunately not all products can be made to order but a substantial amount are and we are very happy about that. When you get your order, you are getting a freshly made item and not one that has been sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
Being able to do this lifted a heavy weight off my back. I feel better now about bringing you my art at prices you can afford and giving you the opportunity to collect my art. Having this opportunity also alloys me to direct my money toward marketing and rewarding my customers for their business.
As a result, some items can cost more but cutting down on the contamination of this earth is priceless and one I feel proud about. Every item is top quality and made with my 100% authentic art works. Most items are made in the USA but some fabrics can be sourced from Mexico, Honduras, Thailand or other countries. We also have a manufacturer in the UK. No matter where the items come from, they are top of the line.
Starting this business took all my life savings and full time dedication. Sometimes working over time. Despite struggling with my mental health, I strive to bring my collectors the best of me.
In march it's going to be one year since officially launching the brand as an LLC even though I have been an artist my entire life. My sister, brother in law and me are really excited about the future and we will continue to work toward more sustainable ways to bring you awesome collectibles.
I also want you to know I will soon publish a small coffee table book about the story of my characters.
Thank you so much for making time to read this and I hope you are happy too on how we are going about our business.

Hi bb's. So I have finally scheduled some of the first classes with Calo, Holly and Briana. Want your very own painting of one of these characters? Well, now is the time. I don't have paintings available for sale yet, so this is an opportunity to have a unique Timoi painting painted by you. There is history in that. I will send out a certificate of completion to go along with your painting. This certificate proves that you painted the character in my class and it is not just a random painting with no connection to me. It is a collectible. There are only five spots for each class. Meaning only 5 paintings will be created each session. So they will be unique pieces.
I will schedule paintings with more characters or new illustrations of current characters. If you have five friends and you all want to paint the same character, you can make a request with me for a class and reserve me ahead of time. You can do that by using the contact page and sending me a message. Maybe you want to do a paint night with your girls. I'm open to that. The classes are only available on Zoom for now.
So, reserve your spots bb's! They will go fast as only five spots are available. Once you reserve your spot, I will email you with all the details for the class you chose.
I look forward to painting, chilling, listening to music and painting, receiving instruction and painting. Answering questions and painting. All that with you bb's.
See you soon!
Kisses,
-Timoi
